For a beginner I wouldn't get the Tour complete set, the lofts on the driver and wedge aren't as forgiving as the other sets. The Driver is 10.5 degrees and SW is 60*. You'll probably get better...

FYI there is no 12 club set. There is a 9-club and 11-club set. They count the bag and head covers as "pieces"
