Great points - so true. Keep this in mind when shopping new routers - I have installed a few "mesh" systems for folks that had no wired ports. I was shocked.

True, wired will always be a better choice in terms of everything. I use Ethernet where is possible, but I also don't mind using WIFI too if ethernet is not an option.

good point, further research warranted. It would be sort of a buzz killer if only for TVs, Not crazy about proprietary gear but it includes Bluetooth I think.

According to the article you cited, the speakers will only work with a "Roku" TV. They will not work with a standard Roku box or stick attached to a Samsung, Vizio, etc. TV. So that's a real limited...
