It works perfectly fine for what it was designed for and that was to add a hard wired Ethernet port to a PC via a USB port. All of the other applications are not what this was intended to work with...

I have this exact one and it did not work with my fire tv stick when I tried it. I ended up buying the Unitek one that was about the same price and it worked fine.
