Their talking about the Verizon pixel 2/2xl phones sold inside Walmart phone booths section for $250/450. Hardly any Walmarts have the pixel in store though.

That's honestly not that bad. My S7 edge is STILL on Android 7 (they say 8 "eventually") while the Pixel will be getting Android P. I mention that because s7 edge has similar specs and price.

Yeah but this is a Google phone. All CDMA and GSM bands included. Also, search pixel and look for the Walmart deal on pixel 2. I snagged a 64 GB Pixel 2 for $251.

sounds like it is. it's just funny that all you had to do was uninstall the phone app, connect to wifi, then browse the web to enable it. it almost seems like it was an intentional backdoor to me....
