I bought two of these monitors just over 3 years ago and they are still great. Back then I paid $239.99 each and that was a great deal then (through slickdeals of course!). I don't do gaming on...

specifically ah-ips grade and higher https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/f3cb58 unspecified ips on cheap panels can be pretty bad....

This monitor is great for most users. If you plan on FPS gaming MOST of the time then go with the dell S2716DGR. Otherwise, this will look better, do the job, and cost less.

One of the main differences is the panel used. AFIK the U2518D is using a Samsung PLS panel.

Its fine for gaming, only top tier players of twitch games, 180 no scope awpers etc really notice the difference. The ah-ips quality panel makes the difference in everything else, including games...
