If the depth will be fixed U shouldn’t have a problem. The issue is making depth adjustments over time can loosen the mechanism. The router is so cheap that if u wanted to have it set up specifically...

awhile back they had the cordless router, palm sander, and vacuum for $149. That's with one 2.0 Ah battery and charger. I almost jumped on it but saw its corded.
