If the depth will be fixed U shouldn’t have a problem. The issue is making depth adjustments over time can loosen the mechanism. The router is so cheap that if u wanted to have it set up specifically...

The motor itself hold some hard work but the plastic adjuster screw is a piece of crab, on the second time I used it now it doesn't adjust or stay still. Will do some home made fixes to fix it. But...

I bought this “wireless” set too. Already had the vac and router so sold them both plus batt and charger for a net price of almost free for the palm sander.

If you're going to spend a hondo...buy the Makita RT0701C....much more solid construction than this router. i have both.

awhile back they had the cordless router, palm sander, and vacuum for $149. That's with one 2.0 Ah battery and charger. I almost jumped on it but saw its corded.
