Yes, current HDMI 2.0 specs can't go higher than 60hz. Need to wait for hdmi 2.1 equipment to go above 60hz.

I can attest to this. I bought a 49’ hisense from walmart recently on sale for $220. It was defective. Video would cut out but the audio would play. Had to switch inputs from hdmi 1 to 2 then back...
