I seem to feel the same way, and didn't realize PD could only be USB-c to usb-c. On my other pixel that used the c to c cable, my battery was fried in 18 months.

Well, all I can say is that my 1st gen Pixel says "fast charging" and takes the same amount of time when using a generic QC2.0 charger with A-to-C cable.
