I have the set pictured and probably have done more with it than anyone posting here. Its probably one of the best cordless sets I've ever owned and I've owned them all. No more Dewalt, Milw, or...

I agree you don't want that drill as your primary drill. I have one that I use exclusively for running wires. Drilling through the top plates in walls that are 3 inches thick(2x 1-1/2) wood. If I...

probably like many said this is more for a pro and not for average diy home owner. Good deal if you will use it.

If drilling into solid concrete, it's advisable to blow out the holes well before inserting a screw or bolt.. I use a baby ear syringe bulb and it works like a charm! ...

If you live in Florida where most all construction is concrete block, a hammer drill is indispensable. I have a corded Makita hammer drill that has served me well for over ten years and still going....

Does Makita not make a cordless ratchet? Looking to start a cordless tool set but don't want to be fighting with multiple battery brands. All teal or all red would be good, but definitely need a...

Best investment ever. Bought this 3 years ago for a lot more. No issues.

Same here. Offloaded my 2 yr old dewalt set for a Makita Impact+Drill subcompact. Really happy with the upgrade! The drill seems to be makita's flagship drill. I just can't justify that I'd ever...

If the concrete is old or you need to drill more than just a couple small holes, stick with SDS. Using the $50 Bauer SDS from HF I drilled 10 1/2" holes in concrete about 6" deep quicker than I...

Interesting thoughts, thanks for sharing. I thought that the XPH07 would be good for me when i do small holes in concrete. But most still say rotary hammers are best for that sort of job. The XPH07...

Is the Milwaukee M12 Fuel set with a choice of free tool a better set for the average homeowner/DIYer?

The one posted is discontinued, while the one you are asking about is still being sold by the manufacturer. Heres a little proof, Makita posted it on their amazon product title....

Just got this set as a present for my Father. Don't know much about the tools. Is the OP deal worth the extra money for the upgrade? I'd return and get him the better set.

The drill has a battery indicator but the impact does not. I love the drill from this kit, the impact is good but not great. Mine are about 4 years old, still going strong on the original batteries.

Only downfall I see on these is there is no indicator on the batteries. Still 4.0 Ah, but you'll never know what's left in the tank.
