Your sentiment is one of the main reasons why I'm planning to upgrade from my 4770K build, but if I were you, based on the prices from the RTX launch, I'd probably wait for the 2080TI to come down in...

The regular Taichi was $200 last week. I don't mind paying $75 extra for the Ultimate as I plan to have this PC for awhile. My 4790k just wont cut it with a 2080ti :(

Or the prospective buyer could just stick with a Z370 board and match it w/ a 8700K ;) The extra 2 cores isn't worth the price hike

I'm sure people swear by this being a nice motherboard w/ all the bells and whistles but I refuse to pay more than $200 for a motherboard especially for an ATX one at that. No deal for me

I just purchased an open box ABS computer at work from Newegg last week and it came with an Asrock Z370 mobo, I am thoroughly impressed by it. I've always had Asus mobo's and I was a brand whore for...

Yes and no. All z## boards overclock but it’s the features (some of them being overclocking related) that sets them apart. But think audio, I/O, bling , build quality etc

well gaming 8 was like a 300-400 dollar board I believe (going off memory) so it sucks if they pull out the same extreme board with a block for 600. I wish they would just strip out some features or...

if you never watercooled don't give advice. CPU blocks capable of handling an 18 core 7980XE, and this CPU as well, go for $70. even "limited edition" blocks typically don't cost $100. you have to go...
