Same here. Was hoping to see the CP1500PFCLCD go on sale for $129 or so, but that hasn't materialized. Just placed an order for the Costco one and will return it in-store if a better deal shows up.

Building your own takes a lot more than "some" electronics knowledge and will probably cost you more. Also, LiFePo3 is a much better choice for a UPS.

Got an APC Back-UPS XS 1200 and 1500 from 2009 still running like new. Had to replace the batteries two years ago and it works the same as day 1.

Preferring APC to Cyberpower should only be because of the cheaper price on the cheaper made APC devices. This is a decent deal for this great device but a similar spec APC unit is around this price...
