This appears to be a wooden table. Expect a lot of warpage, which will completely affect the roll. You can usually find used tables on craigslist made of wood for very little, as well as slate...

I'd have to say I agree, you get what you pay for. Looking at this I estimate it is still over priced. I wouldn't imagine it would last anywhere near as long as a half decent quality slate pool...

Actually, full size tables are 9 foot (10 foot tables do exist too, but are kinda rare. If you go to a pool hall, expect 9 foot )

Tournament size is 9' for billiards and those tables are $1000+. Obviously, you're not paying anywhere close to that in OP's deal.
