Check the ram specs when you get this computer. If you get a faster ram and install it, the bottleneck would be the slower ram that was already pre installed. The advantage of the faster ram...

So if I’m going to use this for Photoshop and Lightroom and maybe run a light game at the same time does this get the job done if I buy 8GB more RAM? Can I just buy the 16GB set on sale today for...

You are correct on the ymmv deal at Walmart. I was lucky enough to grab one of the Omen's for $702 out the door. I didn't really need a new desktop but I thought it was too good a deal to pass up. I...

Yeah that return policy will be helpful. I mean, if you are looking for a gaming rig below $800, this checks most of the boxes. In life you can't have something both cheap & good....this is a good...

Yes, you're right that the HP Omen i7 7700 is a great deal, but that's looking like the overall best deal of the season and it was a YMMV clearance in-store. This deal ain't that bad when you compare...

We already had a monitor, so we didn't include that, but below is our price breakdown. Because I bought things around early November through Black Friday, my actual cost was about $700 for...

Can we please get past the age of small ssd paired with 1tb hdd? Decent 1TB SSDs are in the $130 to $180 range now... Let's move on unless you really need something even bigger.

Regarding build your own vs build prebuilt. I've done both, and which is cheaper tends to vary. If you're willing to wait a few months a buy parts spread out over time, perhaps a CPU when it's on...

For those willing to upgrade the ram themselves this is a great price for workstation PC.

In my opinion this is not a better deal than that rig was. I am basing it on the price and on the parts used. The Shadow mini depending on when you were trying to buy it, was listed at $610-$630. It...
