No, it won't be connected to a vehicle. What I need to run is a TV, crock pot, bar-grade shot machine, satellite receiver. Those golf batteries seem awfully small to run everything I need. Are...

Big manufacturers like NOCO and CTEK engineers (check both manufacturers websites) as well as most mechanics may be wrong then. Believe what you wish, I know what works for me and so do they! Nothing...

No worries, we were just having a technical discussion with some minor disagreement but all you need to know for your use is a smart charger like these is what you want for that. Depending on the...

This thing is only 3.5 amps. This means 17.5 Ah sized batteries. So no, it's not sufficient for the usual car batteries and more meant for smaller batteries for motorcycles lawnmowers or generators.....

I'll just be using the battery with an inverter to run stuff for tailgating. I don't have the battery yet so can't give specifics. Would like to buy the highest capacity battery available to keep...

You are correct that bulk mode (the first stage of charging) should be around C/5 (big generalization but a good starting point) but you don’t know how big the battery is. Most car, marine and...

slow charging will reduce the life of the battery. For the first 5% to 85% you need to charge at C/5 rate. The boiling over you are talking about is when the charger keeps charging above the 85% at...

Thanks for the explanation. It happened to one of our car, has been sitting idle for 5 months and had to jump multiple times. But once its been running, there is no need to jump start. Even if...

Short answer: This one would work fine for that but it really depends on the size of the battery (amp hours) as to how long it will take. My opinion is a slower charge on a smart charger like this is...

Wow, had to do a double take. Searched Amazon history and saw I purchased this same charge in August of 2013 for $60. Still going strong and still using it to this today. I'd recommend it.
