This thing is only 3.5 amps. This means 17.5 Ah sized batteries. So no, it's not sufficient for the usual car batteries and more meant for smaller batteries for motorcycles lawnmowers or generators.....

Wow, had to do a double take. Searched Amazon history and saw I purchased this same charge in August of 2013 for $60. Still going strong and still using it to this today. I'd recommend it.
