of course but i don't have to do that with craftsman or irwin tools...only with husky it seems heck even my harbor freight pliers don't have surface rust on them

When tools are new, applying a light coating of mineral oil and wiping the excess off will usually protect most tools, even cheap ones, from rusting.

The Husky brand has lifetime warranty on most of their tools. Does anyone have experience trying to exchange one? Not sure how you can break a pliers, but just curious if it's as easy as they claim.

I bought this exact set 2 years ago for lot more and they are pretty good quality. The crescent wrench and pliers have rubberized grip which are non-slippery especially handy when installing washers...

I use the husky groove-joint pliers almost everyday, and they've held up for over a year. I believe they even have a lifetime guarantee. If it's anything like kobalt, you just bring in your broken...

Bought some of these sets from the 2013/2014 clearance events. Most haven't even been used and have significant surface rust . Not the wrench just the pliers. None of my irwin or craftsman pliers...

About the same. Some of kobalts stuff is slightly nicer. Both are premium entry level tools or lower mid tier. Fine for the average homeowner who does limited DIY or the more advanced who understands...
