Update: Just got the monitor back from being getting a firmware update by the manufacturer since I cannot update it myself. When I first received it the version was 1.0, now the version shows 1.3....

I never had a problem with the cheap koreans. I guess pixio is an exception. Mbest isn't available anymore. Those were perfect. A friend bought one, I guess I'll find out.

You are correct that the 165hz is only over DP but reviews state that HDMI goes up to 144hz.

One X does 1440p @120hz. Many sites recommend monitors with these specs for use with the One X so I guess we will find out.
