Best bang for buck is punta cana. Only problem is that the beach water can get very rough. I loved Jamaica, but every time I went was a different experience. How does Hawaii water compare?

We did Our HM at the Renaissance as well. had a blast. It was 2006, when they also had the huge waterpark on it's own island! Fun! And the CuckooCanooko (sp?) bus and overall fun time!!! Love it!
