Exactly proving our point that these have always been about the same price. Converted to todays dollars. $1.90 in 1974 was equal to $8.90 in 2018. So, they basically cost significantly LESS now...

This is such a ridiculous comment. Mechanical pencils have been around for many decades and have always cost significantly more than a no.2 pencil.

I ordered from Amazon. Just look at the third party prices. Most of the colors of the Toga were not cheaper, but for some reason the Blue one was 4.50 shipped each.
