The tl;dr version- if you don't care about built in speakers then yes, it's entirely aesthetics unless you require the 77" version (in which case they don't make an E in that size)

How does the C8 vs the E8 compare? Speakers are a non issue to me, is it just purely aesthetics with the E8? TIA

Know why they say "may not be" instead of "will not be"? To scare you into thinking you might not get a warranty unless you overpay for the TV. meanwhile, if you read the actual warranty it...

Because the only way to make it happen is if you abuse the TV. Why would they cover abuse of the product? Same reason if Dodge finds out you were racing your Charger at a track and blew the...

If it wasn't a real issue, why wouldn't LG warranty cover burn in at all though? If most people don't watch TV in a way that could be impacted by burn in why isn't it covered by most extended...

Nope. rtings.com tested this over 5000 hours. With varied content they experienced no burn in at all. With static logos like CNN playing constantly (20 hours a day, 7 days a week) they...

I purchased the Sony A8F through a NewEgg flash sale (GameLiquidations) 8 days ago. Unfortunately, the TV has not shipped yet. I inquired through support for shipping details and the company replied...

Not necessary, its a very YMMV situation with Fedex guys. I have my E8 delivered to me the first time by FEDEX. The guy wouldn't wait for me to open and check. He said he has only 2-3 minutes per...

Do you sleep for 3,000 hours? No? Then you're good man. By all means, go get that q9, but don't do it for something bogus like burn-in.

While I loved the picture on the C8, i play a lot of games and don't want to have to be considerate at all about how I'm using my TV. I'm likely going with the Samsung Q9F instead this time around.

Post #125343604 added 02-13-2019 3:26 PM by Knightshade in Deal Talk
Every test done by everyone who has done testing on OLED has produced comparable results- obviously it's accelerated life testing because nobody has a time machine. Rather than accept the data we...
