unfortunately all goldfish get huge, can live a long time, and produce a ton of waste... a single fancy goldfish probably needs bare minimum 20 gallon tank while a comet/common goldfish a 30 gallon...

Do not buy 5.5 gal tank unless you just want to put 2-3 hermit crabs in there, otherwise get the largest tank you can afford. I went with 10 kit few years ago now I regret not getting 20-29 gal...
