I concur with the recommendations on the Sony units. Great bang for your buck, easy interface and a knob for volume instead of buttons.

Because you can also have YouTube or ESPN playing while still having access to maps. It's dumb, but safer than not having the head unit lol.

I won't argue. The only screen that I really hate is the FM radio screen. The RDS data is usually missing or corrupt and it's squished into a crappy small area. OEM car stereos always do a better job...

The UI is a mess though. Not very elegant. They need a better ux designer for God's sake. Functionally it looks great but Alpine or Kenwood's UI looks much better.
