I'm not sure which he is referring to specifically but the motorcycle Racing 4T/V Twin oils don't come in 5qt jugs from memory. So he is likely referring to a car oil yes.

FZ6R doesn't care too much about oil, I used M1/Valvoline 10w-40 and 20w-50. Definitely use a better filter than the KN204/PH6017A though, I'd recommend M1-108/Fram Ultra Synthetic XG6607.
