Anyone use this with dSLRs outdoors? I used to have the smaller model, which was great for a GoPro, but not so useful with a dSLR, even with a 17-40 f/4L on it. Not a long lens, but felt really saggy...

I was having the same issue. I even logged into shoprunner but the option wasn't available at first. After a few refresh then it let me select the free 2-day shoprunner shipping. :)

I don't see free shipping option either. Apparently you have to sign up for VIP360 which is $49.99 in order to "qualify" for free shipping. Otherwise you will have to pay the 7.05 for standard...

The 5K was redesigned in 2017 from the older Focus model. While basically the same, it was slightly improved... a little stiffer in the right places, and the legs are more articulable.

It doesn't look like the 5k model vs previous models of Joby Gorillapod have a bubble leveler. Why?!?! Makes me want to wait for the 3k to go in sale because of that one feature.

The SLR Zoom model is the same as the new 3K model. Ironically, not the best for DSLRs with a zoom because it can slip. The 5K is a larger version.
