I also repaste my laptop every year and have not had any thermal issues. Warranty label is just there to scary people unnecessarily tweaking the parts.

He is talking about repasting the thermal paste on the Intel CPU chip. Almost impossible on the ultra portables and will void the warranty if you open it up anyways

This is an ultraportable, thin laptop. Not gaming. Defeats the purpose to have a full GPU in these.

I can vouch for that. My 5 year old Asus overheats all the time. The fan is working hard to lower the temp and it still shuts down for self protection. It was ok until I upgraded to Win 10. Now...

Solid specs. My Zenbook 1 died for no discernible reason after about 2 years. Some say Asus doesn’t build in proper cooling, instead opting for higher specs, so the heat eventually takes its toll.

Still using my UX31A from 2010! These are great ultralights. If you don't need / want that form factor, then they are going to be underpowered given the $ compared to other (bigger) configurations...
