I got mine from Newegg as part of a bundle. But I think it was a fluke. Ac3100 is the same router with 4 more 1Gbps ports. Depending on price, keep an eye out for the AX88u also... Supports WiFi 6

The AC88U hs been Rock Solid and I've been very happy with it for over 3 years. I have an AC68U (TMo) that I have wired to my AC88U as an Access Point for all of my cameras/Video Storage and the...

There are client settings on my PC desktop/laptop that specify how long to hold onto a signal before switching to a stronger signal. Can't do anything to affect that on iPhone/iPad though.

Hopefully you have better luck than I did. I bought a two pack of Asus RT-AC68u's when they were $110 each when you buy two at MicroCenter, last October. They work fine independently, each as...

Just make sure the Microcenter deal is B1 revision specifically. The earlier revisions of their 1750-class router don't support AiMesh. (Hopefully if they're selling them as a pair, they've already...

Check that they send you the right version, but yes. There's been some mix-up from other vendors, but the specifically the B1 revision of this router works with AiMesh. The earlier ones don't.

The letter and number indicate the wireless spec. So N=802.11n wifi vs AC=802.11AC, and 900 is the total theoretical wireless bandwidth this could support if clients were using every available...

Newegg's page has more detail: "Packaging Package Contents RT-AC66U Dual Band 3x3 802.11AC Gigibit Router" But yeah, AC1750 is their AC66 (U, R, and whatever other letters they put at the end).

Yes, they're completely independent.

I believe some of it has to do with marketing as well. The "friendly" name AC66u was marketed towards consumers, while the AC 1750 was geared towards small business. My AC88u is identical in...

You can, (for the 1750 and later, at least the earlier ones, I don't know.) But if that is your goal, microcenter has 2 x RT-Ac1750s for 159. This is even cheaper than this deal. They also have 2X...

I had an older version of one of these and it worked well for a while, but if it does break don't think Asus will replace it. They have horrible customer service.

N-900 is the wireless N standard that that supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies on a router with three antennas. N runs at 150mbps max per antenna, per Band (GHz frequency). So a dual band N...

Asus routers have a very good reputation as they are typically rock solid and they stay in top of most issues (especially security related) with regular firmware updates. I have had 3 over the last...

It is, if you want to mess with flashing back to the stock firmware which is not a trivial task for this router. You also lose any warranty when you flash it to stock rt-ac88u firmware. For those who...

Why would anyone buy this vs the Tmobile Cellspot for 40 bucks? It seems that's a better router.
