Well not sure how you define “surround” & “rears” but depending on your layout you could try them as each and see what you think.

Yes - all research seems to lead to the same conclusion. Ordered myself a couple of Klipsch RB-61 II 6.5" Bookshelf Speakers. Thanks.

I think they will be different for everyone. They definitely throw sounds out exactly the way they look like they would. I tried them in stereo at first and thought they weren't good speakers, but...

You didn’t mention what your set up is and sounds it like you may be running an Atmos set up. So depending on that and your lay out you might want to look into placing you surrounds slightly inward...

I’m guessing when you say “klipsch atmos” speakers you mean “enabled” ones? If so I would recommend concentrating on building up a good 7.1 set up. If you plan to do Atmos you can always do that...

Good info. The rain (of course) I pick up from the overhead in ceiling. So, which would be preferable for rear surround, then, a bookshelf or these? My placement is a good 12 ft back or so. ...

Well I would add and point out that these are described as rear surrounds and that article talks about Atmos speakers as “overhead” speakers. I would guess that if you wanted to you could mount...

They are talking about overhead speakers here, not rear surrounds. Overhead are the ones you place in the ceiling, not these. Those these could be used for rear height speakers, I suppose, but those...

These are fine for Atmos, 5.1, or 7.1. These are not di or bi-pole. Instead, the woofer faces directly from the speaker with horns on each side facing diagonally. It's an interesting sound. The...

I am planning on purchasing klipsch atmos speakers but I want to use these speakers for back of the room to finish up 7.1. Any thoughts and advice on the set up and these speakers would be greatly...

Dolby recommends standard mono-pole directional speakers for Atmos. The type of speaker in this deal became popular during the old Dolby Pro-Logic era because in a 5.1 setup the side surround sound...

If you are going to mix speaker brands, which is not recommended if possible, I would not mix the types of tweeters in the speakers. You have an aluminum dome tweeter in your speakers I believe and...
