Powering one high rpm drive isn't a problem, its two that is. 2.0 has the same amp issues if you look at the adapter its probably 2 amps, and usb 2.0 is slow as dirt.

I own this as well, loves to drop off after a few minutes. Checked for firmware updates on their site, they've got nothing. Will try a stronger power adapter.

7200rpms use more power, these dual docks tend to come with a 3amp power brick, 7200rpm becomes dicey. You can buy a 4+ amp power brick to compensate.

Yea, just use macrium reflect free. The offline clone feature is just a novelty. Mostly its a nice way to add drives with UASP support with reliable power easily.

Seems like a good price for offline cloning dual bay. Comments seem to be the type that got it for discount or free from seller. Just in time for those who are buying all those Slickdeal SSDs!
