Yeah, the sound is subjective, I very much prefer Michael Frank's V-Mode pickups in the Pro.

I have a Marr and much prefer the neck to my Duo Sonic radius. The pickups alone are worth it, but I also say that about the neck.

As an owner of a Marr Jag, I much prefer the vintage radius and narrower nut width to the Am Pro model. The Barenuckle pickups are a step up as well.
