Just got around to using this. The S9 is $249 and they switched me 30G plan to a new unlimited one (no hotspot) for $100 less

Not the case for me. But they did increase the plan cost by $10 for me because of "increase in speed." After calling they game me the option to return to my previous plan at the previous cost.
