Can someone pop a PAL DVD in and let me know, if it works?? Or, any region DVD besides those designed for US/CAN. *Sometime, cheapies play pal, or a certain brand did.

I actually bought one of them $500 players back in 1996. Toshiba or Hitachi can't remember. Montgomery Ward. They threw in a free DVD copy of Cliffhanger.

You can still rent DVD's and BluRays at the local library. They have obscure titles that are not easy to find online. I would say this still might come in handy for some.
