I’m returning mine as well. Gear switch wasn’t working. Loose metal sounds inside. Outer chuck ring is loose. The thing was packed in 2 glorified envelopes - no padding.

That's what "bare tool" means. If it came with batteries it would probably say "kit" and even specify what size.
