Apparently the newer Dohms can eventually develop a rattle which people hate, but yeah, I have two older ones that have been going strong for a decade now.

Usually a little wary of refurbs but went ahead and got this since the price was right and it is a fairly simple machine. I don't think it'll be an issue.

Agreed. Way louder than phone too. It helps my kids sleep and covers up noises that the adults make while drinking adult beverages!! We love it and have had it for 3-4 years with no issues.
