I’ve owned a Qnap nas for over 2 years and it’s been rock solid. I immediately upgraded mine to 16GB so not sure how it runs with less, but depending price you may just upgrade it once from the start...

Which is the exact opposite of what the drive manufacturer's support has told us. I've personally asked both Western Digital and Seagate and they have both said it voids the warranty.

Ive had a QNAP TS-451+ for about a week. Upgraded the ram to 16gb for about $50 on Amazon. 2GB was a limiting factor when I started playing with containers.
