No - the cobras do not appear to be on sale. Classic case of seeing an actual Slick Deal, reading the comments, and buying something else for full price. Gets me every time.

I second the push button ones. These are super heavy duty and the grip is great. A bit pricy but lasts forever.

point being, they are at their lowest ever price very very regularly. this isnt a bad deal, its just not a "holy crap" deal. they are knipex alligators... they arent like the ones i linked to. ...

Right off the bat, I think these have such a large capacity than the locking pliers that it would replace two sizes. I have the 10” cobras, and they have stood up to rusty bolts on cars, to shower...

?? They are the Knipex alligator pliers. But yes, according to CCC, they're only $2 cheaper than they normally are - but they're also 70 cents from lowest ever. Soooo *shrug*

If you're not looking to outfit an entire kit of pliers, you'll probably be better served with a set of 12" and a set of 6". For me, 10" is a kind of an odd middle ground that is often either too big...
