Yes, DVR does work. Seems like you need to have a strong OTA signal for for this to work very well and the antenna they provide isnt great. No way you are going to pick up stations from 80 miles...

Despite what Kyrie says, the Earth isn’t flat. 80 miles is an extremely long way to get a television signal. You are going to need a very strong antenna very high up.

They sent one to me as well - completely useless and a step backwards. They did however also give me a $30/month credit for 12 months after threatening to cancel the service - that made it worth it!

They sent me one, and it would pick up zero channels from Little Rock, AR or for that matter anywhere else. The antenna will not work for 80 mile away stations.
