Yeah those Tributes aren't great guitars. I saw prices below $500 on them when they were closing them out and would've bought one, but when I checked a few out locally I didn't like any of them.

My 2018 LP Studio came with a hard case. It was the higher tier studio though so that might be the difference.

"Only a Gibson is good enough", LOL. I bought a 2016 Gibson LP 50s Tribute and it had serious issues out of the box. Even after repair, it wasn't nearly as nice as my Epiphone Tommy Thayer...

Seems to legit sell for $2k - unsure if anyone was buying. A few hundred more used. Unsure I'd want a model from this era of Gibson or not, but the satin is nice.

Looks from the pic and written specs not only is there confusion with the Gig Bag/HSC but also the tuners. Specs say Klusen Keystone while pics look like Grovers. So who knows what this thing will...

Not really. 2016-2019 are the better quality years. The "hubbub" was more about recent Gibson's "behavior".
