Deep Learning is best configured to use the GPU (Nvidia Graphics card) and not the CPU. So yest this can do Deep Leaning, CNN, etc.

Depends on what you training. You can in principle train DNN in raspberry pi nowadays. Desktop is the way to go if he needs any future expandibility etc.

That's my initial thought. But benchmarks are similar for the graphic cards and mine is only 60Hz no touchscreen. Are u saying graphics is significantly better?

Just trying to understand the comment to see if I am missing something. The similar spec and size comparable is Dell XPS 15 7590 which costs more than this (XPS lighter though as mentioned here).
