I got this card earlier this year. Fee waived first year and only 95 after. 100k pts in Asia is worth a lot. Also you need platinum to have a chance at upgrades and breakfast/lounge access. 4 points...

why would anyone redeem hotel or airline points for gift cards lol? 100k marriott can be worth $1000 or more in hotel stays if you know what you're doing. amex points are worth even more than that.

These are Marriott points, not AmEx points. There are some ways to transfer them out of Marriott. But generally, transferring hotel/airline points does not give much value.

$325 on gift cards, or 15 stays on category 1 marriot properties which are kinda hard to find so basically only $200 after paying the $125 annual fee

Actually they did waive the fee on this card if you applied by March 27, 2019. Same 100k bonus too.
