How is the viewing angle? That seems to be the most concerning factor in this deal. TN vs. IPS screen. Also, how is the battery life? They advertise 6 hour, which seems low.

It certainly does not have a wide viewing angle. Too high, too low, too far to the side and you'll be adjusting it a little. Doesn't bother me since when I'm using a laptop... it sits right in front...

Drove about 20 miles to Office Max to potentially pick this up today, but the screen was a deal killer. If you just want something that is snappy, this is good. If you plan to watch video, edit...

I have this model and love it.... except for the screen. As others have noted, it's terrible. I have an IPS panel (refurb, so we'll see) on order for $40 and looking forward to putting that in. ...

I like matte screens. Gloss is too reflective. I was thinking the same thing about it being matte. Sometimes you can choose matte or gloss and they cost the same; it's just a personal preference.

I bought this 3 or so weeks ago when it was on sale from urlhasbeenblocked. I really like it so far, feels good. Smaller than any other 15.6" laptops I've had.. I guess because there's not much bezel.

It wasn't the store lighting. I was looking at a Dell laptop that was similar, but the screen was much nicer. I mentioned it to the sales associate, and he nodded his head and said, "I see what...

Depends on which Vega you're talking about. The only/main advantage mobile Ryzen has over Intel is the igpu. However, Vega 3 performs essentially the same as Intel 620 graphics. So at that price...

The AMD Ryzen 3 is not bad, but the price difference between the 3 and 5 is not large enough IMO to go with a 3 unless you are looking at a really cheap system.

Thank God yes. MS shoudlvd never tried to crowbar a tablet UI into a desktop OS - the ergonomics aren't there for poking at a vertical screen from a seated position. There was a reason Steve Jobs...

YES!!! The Ryzen 3 is a dual core with a much slower GPU. The Ryzen 5 is a quad core with around double the performance of the Ryzen 3's GPU.

Life’s too short for crappy TN panels. Stop buying these TN laptops, and maybe they will stop selling them.
