Slower? Phison E12 is one of the fastest chips on the market. Better recheck the benchmarks.

It hasn't overheated for me yet (but I don't game). My XPG is made by ADATA. Samsung is the best (not necessarily the speediest) but costs more.

The EX920 doesn’t overheat either btw, there was a firmware update that fixed the bug with the stuck temp sensor on that model.

CrystalDisk benchmarks show this actually reaches 3500MB/s, this is like 7 times faster than conventional SATA connected SSDs.

This is the best model of the HP M.2 SSD line. It was actually one of a few I was waiting to go on sale. I ended up getting the XPG Gammix 512GB S11 Pro (same price) a few weeks ago.

Why is there a big difference btw max sequential write and overall max write? Does this take into account cache buffering option?

I was looking at these earlier in the day but bought a regular old Crucial Plus SSD. Do these use SATA or does your motherboard need to support the new protocol?
