Thanks for your answer. Plastic is a no go and so isn't anything bamboo since it can have hard nodules. I guess I'm going to have to break down and get a knife strip. Would love one that is...

We have this knife holder. The normal price is about $9 so it's not that amazing of a deal. We do really like it though! The cutlery holder even more space saving and amazing!

For practical purposes, knives unevenly dull or chip when thrown into a drawer with other knives and having unintended metal to metal contact. Knives prematurely dull when cutting on ceramic plates,...

This is useful for keeping the knives from sliding around in the drawer. I currently lay my knives flat in my drawer, and the act of opening the drawer will incrementally cause the knives to shift...

That doesn't seem very safe? I mean sure, hidden in a drawer... But I wouldn't want to open a drawer full of knife blades face up staring at me if I visited someone's house. Edit: just realized...

I would get this but my wife thinks it’s ok to just throw knives in a drawer. #LogicOmitted

If you have high quality knives and care about keeping them sharp to that extent, why bother even looking at this? Nothing wrong with asking but those are some high expectations for a 7.99 product...
