You will need 2 of these. You'll need to take off the removable nut and that end will connect to the faucet hoses and the other end will connect to your water supply.

Yes but in ~ 2 years of owning it, it's not a bother at all.
To clarify how this works all one needs to do is look at the manual and water flow.
Hot and cold water come from your supply (wall)...
