I get that. But still having to unplug the battery or the plug. The plug sounds easier. Unless your willing to adjust the bit with a hot machine. Then I could see why you like it.

The question is too ambiguous; it depends what you want to do to the hardwoods. E.g., make a pass around the edge of a hardwood panel or tabletop with a 1/4" roundover bit, sure it will do great....
