I am considering this board for a new esxi host build and am curious about your comment regarding the horrible IOMMU groups. Was hoping to run 2 separate Windows 10 VMs and pass thru a GPU to each...

The X570 supports Gen4 M.2 SSD's which promises to offer better disk access times which was the seller for me as a Software Engineer. This probably isn't nearly as important for gamers.

The B450 Tomahawk can run the 3900x without issue and is probably the best dollar to performance board for Ryzen. I think you are set until next gen unless you need PCIE4 for a more expensive NVME...

Do you have a board that you would recommend? I'm trying to get into the performance range of the 3600/3600X, and this was one of the boards I was looking at.

I have this board with a new 3600. At the price it's slick, but I personally don't like the board. The IOMMU groups are horrible (I'm running it with a VM and so that matters to me). It's also a...

You dont really need a x570 board for a 3600. You'd be fine with a b450 board, but the MSI Tomahawk is only $14 less.

Just FWIW on the brand, I've been using an ASRock Z170+ for over three years now on my gaming PC and it is by far the most stable build I've ever had. Will most certainly be looking to ASRock again...

Yes, just make sure the box says "ready for ryzen 3000 series", Other than bios, most am4 motherboards are capable of handling 3rd gen ryzen up to about the 3800x

Any ideas what's different between this mobo and the ASRock X570 PHANTOM GAMING 4? Spec-wise they seem identical, although the regular price on the PRO4 seems about $20 more. ...

Higher power consumption is true of all x570 boards. From what I've read it's because the high-end Ryzen gen 3 processors (3900X and 3950X) use a lot of power. In reality, you can use a x470 board...

I have the x570m PRO4 (basically same board) and probably wouldn't buy it again if I had more mATX options. I've had issues with three different QVL sets of memory running at XMP profiles in the...

I like that it can do NVMe without disabeling two SATA ports! But I am not sure of AMD. I always been Intel and I plan to get i9 or i11? when PCIe 5,0 comes out.
