It's supposed to show up as a single 512GB SSD so this is correct. Windows supports the Optane aspect via specific processors so I don't think Unbuntu will ever see the 32GB Optane as it's not...

That's not what I said. Some of these 2-in-1 laptops have only a single slot for RAM. There's no way to run dual channel memory with a single channel of RAM was my point. I didn't say anything...

You don't need matching stick sizes to do dual channel. It will dual channel the 4gb on both sticks so 8gb and 4gb won't be dual. I didn't believe it till I tried and benchmarked it for myself.
