Ive had Surface 2 , paid $800 last year and honestly i would not recommend it. Battery life is about 3-4 hours while just surfing and the hinge moves around now when it opens after only one year ....

too bad they don't have a deal on the 16/256 model. i think for laptops you should always go for the 16gb ram. i believe you can't upgrade the ram yourself easily (or at all) on the surface laptops.
