Got the one I ordered from bestbuy.com and it was an i3. Oh well.... hopefully it's better in terms of power usage and battery life than an i5.

You know what, this is possible. I didn't think it would be because on a Chromebook you can see what's being updated. There were only a few apps, and those updates were done in a few seconds....

Could be going through a lot of updates. If so then I suspect the fan noise and heat will stop when the updates are done.
