For remotely cutting off power: I always set a timer to cut off power when I charge my phone. I do not want to charge my phone all night long.

obviously, it uses to turn on/off devices, monitor electricity usage remotely etc.... When the cloud is down or your smartphone is gone... everything is just free fall on its own

The TP Link power strip is kinda cool, nice how you can individually control each outlet. Problem is having 6 things needing to be controlled from one outlet. I could see this working for Christmas...
