aren't the games ported to ps4/xbox? last time i checked i think most games are made on pc. even if ps4/xbox has 12 threads or 16. pc will still have 2x faster core.

Keep in mind the i7 9700K does not include an air cooler. The 3700K is looking like a good alternative at $309 at Walmart with a wraith cooler included. Gaming-wise, the 9700k is slightly better...

I just did from the same cpu. Just make sure your motherboards compatible. Mines a z390 or something from 2 years ago. Compatible but needed the bios updated first
