That’s only with the current TE4 interface. The previous TE3 interface doesn’t do that. I dunno if you can roll back to TE3 on new units that ship with 4 though. If it is possible, then roll it back....

I purchased one from an Amazon reseller & had to send it back. According to Tivo, the serial number came back as stolen & even though I could prove I just purchased it, they still wouldn’t active it.
